KETTLEBELL TRAINING

The kettlebell is one of the most effective tools available for developing strength and conditioning in combat athletes.

Traditional training with barbells and dumbbells generally involve isolating muscle groups and moving through single planes of motion and do very little to replicate the movement patterns required for fighting. Kettlebells however,  are a unique piece of equipment. in that their unusual shape and offset centre of gravity means that they challenge your body in a completely different way.  Training for combat sports shouldn't include isolating certain muscle groups. Instead, training should force your  body to work as a complete unit through multi-plane movement patterns.  Kettlebell exercises involve full body, multi-plane movement patterns and provide the bridge between strength and cardio training.
